All live animal sales are final. We do not issue refunds due to buyer’s remorse, change of heart, change in circumstances, inability to pick up, transportation issues, or any other reason unrelated to the condition of the animal at the time of pickup.

Payment & Pickup: Full payment is required to reserve an animal. Buyers have four (4) business days from the date of purchase to pick up their animal unless other arrangements have been made and approved by The Happy Homestead in writing.

If a buyer cancels their purchase, fails to pick up the animal within four (4) business days without prior approval, or becomes unresponsive, The Happy Homestead reserves the right to cancel the sale, retain all payments made, and relist the animal for sale without further notice.

Inspection at Pickup: Buyers are encouraged to inspect their animal before accepting it. Prior to taking possession of the animal, the buyer may decline the purchase if the animal does not meet their expectations and will receive a full refund.

Transfer of Responsibility: Once the buyer accepts the animal and it leaves The Happy Homestead’s property—or is released to the buyer’s designated transporter or shipping service—all ownership, care, and responsibility immediately transfer to the buyer. The Happy Homestead is not responsible for illness, injury, death, stress, escape, predator loss, environmental conditions, improper husbandry, or any other events occurring after the animal leaves our care.
